Automotive
In order to cover the rapidly increasing demand for electric vehicles, Fuji Electric developed Automotive Power modules both for the drive, as well as the air conditioning systems.
The modules for drive application all feature Fuji Electric’s innovative RC-IGBT chips with on-chip current and temperature sensors, closed water coolers and lead frame interconnection for highest levels of power density. In addition to the RC-IGBT based modules, Fuji Electric is currently developing SiC MOSFET based power modules for applications with the highest demand for power density and efficiency. A modular approach enables customers to cover several power classes with one mechanical design.
For air conditioning application, Fuji Electric has developed a very compact small-IPM power module that is equipped with many functions, such as overcurrent protection, short circuit protection, under voltage protection and overheat protection.
